Austin Tsai, Clinical Team DirectorAustin Tsai is a certified BSPTS practitioner, and an Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland supervising musculoskeletal clinical studies for Masters and Bachelor physiotherapy students. Austin also lectures at Mastery Institue Australia and he is a regular keynote speaker at various international medical conferences.
Austin began his career as an exercise physiologist graduated from the National Taiwan Sport University. He furthered his studies into Physiotherapy and moved to Australia to pursue his passion in helping his patients through exercise and manual therapies. Since 2018, Austin Tsai has been spending his entire focus on treating patients with spinal disorders, in particular Scoliosis. With the background as a competitive ballroom dancer and an accredited exercise physiologist, Austin Tsai has always been passionate about human movement, and has developed his unique way of “reseting” movement dysfunction effectively through realigning spine. |
Hugo Cheung, Scoliosis consultantHugo is a certified AHPRA physiotherapist in Australia, who has graduated from Griffith University. He is a trilingual allied health practitioner, that is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. Hugo has also been specifically trained by Austin to treat those with spinal disorders and postural asymmetry. He has started developing skills in treating patients with postural and scoliosis issues and found great passion from modifying patient’s posture and reliving their pain through dedicated tailored exercise programs for each individual.
Hugo has been practicing in physiotherapy field since 2021 and has been continuously honing his clinical treatment skills for various patients after graduation, such as manual therapy, cupping, dry needling, musculoskeletal injuries, clinical Pilates, and postural correction exercise for those with spinal disorder and postural issues. He is still happily pursuing further advanced training in scoliosis and other specialties to further help those in more complex situations. Being an experienced physiotherapist, Hugo loves to contribute himself to educating his fellow peers and the public on general injuries, sport injuries and recovery, rehab via in person seminar and workshops on regular basis. Hugo would do hands on teaching and teach how to easily self-treat the most effective way. When he is not being a physiotherapist, Hugo becomes an active sportsman, he goes into weight lifting and has been doing so for the last 6 years and recently start developing interest in conditioning exercise and playing badminton. The obsession of playing sports is what sculptured him to be so passionate in teaching and treating patient by exercise. |
Shaheen Begum, OrthotistShaheen is a certified prosthetist and Orthotist clinician with a bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics and over 20 years’ experience in Spinal Orthosis, upper and lower limb orthosis, CP management and corrective helmets and bracing etc.
Shaheen is an expert in providing non-invasive treatment for spinal problems. She is an accredited and certified practitioner of Spincor technology, which is one of the most effective and latest technology available for non-invasive treatment of adult and paediatric scoliosis patients. She has worked for leading orthotic and prosthetic service providers in Australia and abroad and have been trained in UK, Germany, Turkey and in the middle east in leading technologies. She is fluent in English, Urdu, Arabic and Pashto. She is a mother of two children and likes travelling and gardening. |
